"My works explore the question of the self. We are not only biological beings. Our identities are shaped by society and culture. Like performers on a stage, we are assigned different roles and our act becomes who we are. I am not what you think I am. I also don't know what I think I am. Surely, there is more to what makes us who we are than just a reflection?"
Samantha Li is an artist based in Hong Kong and Germany. She specializes in drawing and painting, using oils, acrylic, and charcoal as her main media.
